OC200TP-Link Omada OC200 Controller
The OC200 is the little box that turns a pile of Omada kit into a managed network. This hardware controller adopts up to 100 Omada access points, 20 JetStream switches and 10 Omada routers, then manages the lot from one dashboard — locally for security and stability, or from anywhere via free Omada cloud access and the app.
It draws power from an 802.3af/at PoE switch port — an Omada SG2210P can host it alongside the APs it manages — or from Micro USB, and its USB 2.0 port handles automatic configuration backups. Real-time topology, a Wi-Fi heatmap simulator and batch multi-site management make day-two operations genuinely easier. Running a bigger estate? Step up to the OC300.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a controller at all?
Omada devices run standalone, but once a site has more than a couple of APs or you manage multiple sites, a controller pays for itself — one login, batch configuration, roaming and monitoring across everything.
OC200 or OC300?
The OC200 manages up to 100 APs, 20 switches and 10 routers — ample for most SMEs. The OC300 raises the ceilings to 500/100/100 and adds Gigabit ports and USB 3.0 for larger estates.
How is it powered?
Either from an 802.3af/at PoE switch port or via Micro USB (DC 5V, minimum 1A) — in most racks it simply leeches a PoE port next to the switches it manages.
Is there an ongoing licence fee?
No — cloud access to the OC200 is free, and management stays on your hardware.
