TP-Link 5Hz Beam Bridge Kit (Up to 15 km)

The Omada Beam Bridge Kit is the long-shot specialist of TP-Link's wireless bridge range: a preconfigured 5 GHz pair with high-gain 23 dBi antennas rated for links of up to 15 km. It carries up to 867 Mbps of 802.11ac throughput between sites, making it the tool for farm-to-farmhouse links, remote CCTV compounds and building-to-building connections where trenching fibre is out of the question.

Auto-pairing and agile LEDs make alignment and commissioning quick, and each unit's three Gigabit Ethernet ports connect IP cameras and devices at the far end without an extra switch. For shorter hops, the EAP215 kit (5 km) or EAP211 kit (1 km) cost less; back at the head end, an Omada PoE switch such as the SG2210P ties the link into the LAN.

Frequently asked questions

Do the two units need configuring?

No — the kit auto-pairs, and the agile LEDs guide alignment during installation. You can then manage the link standalone via the Omada app or local web UI, or adopt it into Omada SDN for centralised remote management.

How is each unit powered?

Via passive PoE — the adapter is included — so power runs up the same cable as data.

Is it safe on an exposed mast?

It is designed for exactly that: an IP65 weatherproof enclosure and 6 kV lightning protection give it all-weather suitability.

What can I plug in at the remote end?

Each bridge has three Gigabit Ethernet ports, so several IP cameras or devices connect directly without an extra switch at the pole.
