How do I power it?

Either from an 802.3at PoE+ switch port, or with the 48V passive PoE adapter that comes in the box — both keep the install to a single Ethernet cable.

Does it need an Omada controller?

No — it works standalone. Adopting it into Omada SDN adds one-click setup, centralised cloud management and site-wide roaming, which is worthwhile once you run several APs.

Can it survive a British winter outdoors?

Comfortably — IP65 weatherproofing, 6 kV lightning protection and a -40 °C to +70 °C operating range are designed for far worse.

Waterproofing the connections?

The box includes a waterproof rubber insert and waterproof antennas so the cable entry and antenna joints are sealed against the weather.
