EAP620-HDTP-Link Omada EAP620 HD Ceiling Access Point
The EAP620 HD is the high-density member of the Omada AX1800 family — a ceiling-mount Wi-Fi 6 access point delivering simultaneous 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz and 1201 Mbps on 5 GHz, with four times the client capacity to keep classrooms, waiting rooms and open-plan offices moving when everyone connects at once.
It integrates fully into Omada SDN with Zero-Touch Provisioning, so an OC200 controller can bring a whole estate of them online without a site visit to each unit. Power comes from 802.3at PoE+ on a switch such as the Omada SG2210P, passive PoE, or the DC adapter included in the box. Seamless roaming and Omada Mesh round out the deployment story.
Key features
- AX1800 Wi-Fi 6 — 574 Mbps (2.4 GHz) + 1201 Mbps (5 GHz), 1775 Mbps total.
- High-density connectivity — 4× increased capacity for busy spaces.
- Zero-Touch Provisioning and intelligent monitoring through Omada SDN.
- Seamless roaming — video streams and calls survive moving between APs.
- Omada Mesh extends coverage wirelessly where cabling is awkward.
- Three power options — 802.3at PoE+, passive PoE or the included DC adapter.
- Ultra-slim design — Φ160 mm × 33.6 mm sits discreetly on the ceiling.

Frequently asked questions
What does “HD” buy me over a standard AX1800 AP?
Capacity. The EAP620 HD is engineered for four times the simultaneous client load, which matters in classrooms, receptions and open-plan floors far more than headline speed.
Does it need an Omada controller?
No — it can run standalone via the Omada app. A controller adds Zero-Touch Provisioning, centralised cloud management and site-wide roaming, which are worth having once you deploy several APs.
How is it powered?
802.3at PoE+, passive PoE, or the DC power adapter that comes in the box — so it works with or without a PoE switch.
