TP-Link Omada EAP673 HD Ceiling Access Point

The EAP673 pushes the Omada ceiling range to AX5400: 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz plus a substantial 4804 Mbps on 5 GHz, with a 160 MHz channel doubling per-stream data at peak times. It suits offices and venues where a smaller number of well-placed APs must each carry heavy 5 GHz traffic.

It powers over 802.3at PoE+ from a switch such as the Omada SG2210P (DC adapter not included), and integrates into Omada SDN with Zero-Touch Provisioning, seamless roaming and Omada Mesh — an OC200 controller ties a multi-AP site together. If client density matters more than raw 5 GHz throughput, compare the EAP660 HD with its 2.5 Gbps uplink.

Frequently asked questions

Is a power supply included?

No — power it over 802.3at PoE+ from a switch or injector. A DC adapter is available separately but is not in the box.

Does it need an Omada controller?

No — it runs standalone. Adopting it into Omada SDN adds Zero-Touch Provisioning, centralised management and site-wide roaming, worthwhile from a handful of APs upward.

EAP673 or EAP653?

Both are slim Omada ceiling APs; the EAP673 doubles the 5 GHz rate to 4804 Mbps. Choose it where per-AP throughput is the priority, the EAP653 where budget per room wins.
