TP-Link
SG2218TP-Link Omada SG2218 Non PoE Smart Switch
The TP-Link Omada SG2218 is the non-PoE workgroup switch of the Omada smart range: sixteen Gigabit RJ45 ports and two Gigabit SFP slots in a fanless, rackmountable metal chassis. It is the right pick where the powered devices already have their own feed — or where the switch simply serves desks, printers and servers — and you still want VLANs, QoS and central management.
Adopt it into Omada SDN for centralised cloud management via the web or the Omada app, or run it standalone through web, CLI, SNMP and RMON. Static routing keeps internal traffic efficient, while VLAN, ACL, QoS and IGMP Snooping handle segmentation, security and clean multicast video.
Its PoE twin is the SG2218P; behind an Omada ER7206 VPN router it forms the wired backbone of a tidy managed small-business LAN.

Frequently asked questions
Does it supply PoE?
No — the SG2218 is the non-PoE model. If you need to power access points, cameras or phones from the switch, choose the SG2218P instead.
Do I need an Omada controller?
No — it manages standalone via web, CLI, SNMP or RMON. A controller brings cloud access and a single dashboard across every Omada device you run.
Rack or desktop?
It has a durable metal casing with a rackmountable design — at home in a comms cabinet, and quiet enough (fanless) for open shelving too.
What are the SFP slots for?
Gigabit fibre uplinks — ideal for longer runs back to a core switch or between buildings where copper is impractical.
