The ER7206 is a Gigabit VPN router built for small and medium business sites that need flexible WAN options and serious VPN capacity. A dual-core ARM Cortex-A53 processor with 512MB of high-speed memory drives the routing engine, so encrypted tunnels and access control run without slowing the network down.
Ports cover every WAN scenario: a Gigabit SFP WAN/LAN port, a Gigabit RJ45 WAN port, four Gigabit RJ45 WAN/LAN ports and a USB 3.0 port for a 4G/LTE dongle or storage backup. It slots straight into an Omada estate — pair it with an Omada OC200 controller for centralised management, and with Omada switches and access points such as the EAP range for a single-pane deployment.

No — the ER7206 runs standalone out of the box. Adding an OC200 or OC300 controller brings centralised, cloud-based management across the whole Omada estate as it grows.
Can I use 4G as a backup WAN?
Yes — the USB 3.0 port supports a USB LTE dongle, so a mobile connection can step in for WAN failover or serve as the primary link on sites without fixed-line internet.
Which VPN protocols does it support?
SSL, WireGuard, OpenVPN, GRE VPN, IPSec, PPTP, L2TP and L2TP over IPSec, so it fits most existing remote-access and site-to-site setups.
