TP-Link SG1005LP 5 port Gigabit PoE Switch

The TP-Link SG1005LP brings Gigabit speeds to the smallest PoE jobs: four Gigabit PoE+ ports deliver up to 30 W each from a 40 W total budget, with a fifth data-only port for the uplink. It is the natural pick when a camera, access point or IP phone or two need powering and the rest of the LAN already runs at Gigabit.

Extend Mode stretches data and power up to 250 m for far-flung cameras, and PoE Auto Recovery automatically reboots any powered device that drops or stops responding — no ladder required. The fanless case keeps it silent for noise-sensitive homes and businesses, and it mounts on a desk or wall.

Need more powered ports? Step up to the SG1008P. On a tighter budget where Fast Ethernet will do, the SF1005P covers the same job at 10/100 speeds.

How many devices can it power?

Up to four PoE+ devices within the 40 W shared budget. Each port can supply up to 30 W, so add up the real draw of your devices — typical cameras and phones leave plenty of headroom.

Is it managed?

No — it is unmanaged and entirely plug and play. There is nothing to configure, which keeps installation quick.

What is Extend Mode for?

Long cable runs: it carries data and power up to 250 m, designed for surveillance cameras well beyond the standard 100 m Ethernet limit.

Does it need a separate power supply?

No — the power adapter is included in the box along with the installation guide.
