TP-Link SG1210MP 10 Port Gigabit PoE Switch

The TP-Link SG1210MP (TL-SG1210MP) is a ten-port Gigabit unmanaged switch with eight PoE ports — eight powered connections for cameras, access points or IP phones, plus two data-only Gigabit ports for uplink and local devices. It automatically detects and supplies power to any IEEE 802.3af/at compliant powered device.

With power and data sharing one cable, devices can be installed wherever the job demands — no power lines or outlets required at the far end — and being unmanaged, the switch itself needs no configuration at all.

If some of your devices need high-power 802.3bt PoE++, the sibling SG1210PP adds it on two ports; for larger installs the 18-port SG1218MP steps up port count and features.

How many PoE devices can it power?

Up to eight — the eight PoE ports automatically detect and power IEEE 802.3af/at compliant devices such as APs, IP cameras and IP phones.

Is it managed?

No — it is unmanaged and requires no configuration. If you want VLANs or monitoring, look at an Easy Smart or Omada model instead.

What are the two non-PoE ports for?

Typically the uplink to your router or core switch, and a local data device such as an NVR — leaving all eight powered ports free for field devices.
