The Zyxel NR7303 is a 5G NR outdoor router for service providers delivering Fixed Wireless Access (FWA). Its trick is simple but decisive: the 5G radio is installed outdoors, where mobile signal reception is strongest, so residential and business subscribers get reliable high-speed broadband even where indoor reception would struggle.
It supports 5G NR Sub-6 GHz in both NSA and SA modes for latency-sensitive applications, with built-in 4x4 MIMO high-gain antennas of up to 9 dBi per element for strong signal performance and broad-spectrum coverage. A single 2.5GbE port with 802.3af/at PoE support carries both power and multi-gigabit backhaul down one cable to the indoor router or gateway — pair it with an indoor unit such as the NR5313 or a PoE source from our switch range.

Why choose an outdoor 5G router over an indoor one?
Walls and glazing attenuate 5G signal significantly. Mounting the NR7303 outside — on a wall, pole or window sill — puts the radio where reception is strongest, then feeds the building over a single 2.5GbE cable. It is the answer where indoor units cannot hold a strong signal.
How is it powered?
Over the network cable: the 2.5GbE port supports 802.3af/at PoE, so one run of Ethernet delivers both power and multi-gigabit backhaul — no outdoor mains socket required. Any 802.3af/at source, such as a PoE switch or injector, will drive it.
Will it survive British weather?
Yes — it is IP67-rated against dust and water and includes 6kV lightning protection, so it is designed for continuous service in harsh outdoor conditions.
Does it support standalone 5G?
Yes, both NSA and SA modes are supported on Sub-6 GHz spectrum, making it ready for current and next-phase operator networks.
