The DR3650V-4G is the resilience-first version of TP-Link's Omada DSL gateway: AX3000 Wi-Fi 6, a VDSL2 35b modem supporting up to 350 Mbps DSL access, and a built-in 4G+ Cat6 modem reaching 300 Mbps with dual Nano-SIM slots for LTE failover. If the line goes down, the site does not.
Load balancing runs across DSL, 4G and Ethernet WAN simultaneously, two FXS ports keep analogue phones in service, and the full VPN suite — IPSec, PPTP, L2TP, OpenVPN, WireGuard, GRE and SSL VPN — handles site-to-site and remote-worker links. It integrates into Omada centralised cloud management alongside an OC200 controller and mesh APs such as the EAP610. If you do not need cellular backup, the standard DR3650V saves the difference.

Frequently asked questions
How does the 4G failover work?
Two Nano-SIM slots sit ready behind the DSL and Ethernet WANs. Load balancing can spread traffic across DSL, 4G and Ethernet, or hold 4G in reserve so the office stays online when the fixed line fails.
Do I need two SIMs?
No — one is enough for failover. The second slot allows a backup carrier, which is worth considering where mobile coverage is patchy.
Will it work on UK FTTC lines?
Yes — VDSL2 including the 35b profile is supported, with ADSL/ADSL2/ADSL2+ fallback; full-fibre services connect via the Ethernet WAN.
Can it rack mount?
Yes — with the optional D226 rackmount kit (sold separately); otherwise it sits on a desk or shelf.
