TP-Link Omada DR3650V Gigabit Router

The DR3650V is an all-in-one Omada gateway for DSL premises: AX3000 Wi-Fi 6 (2402 Mbps on 5 GHz + 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz), a built-in VDSL2 35b modem supporting up to 350 Mbps DSL access with full ADSL/ADSL2/ADSL2+/VDSL2 compatibility, and two FXS ports for analogue phones — router, modem, Wi-Fi and voice in one desktop unit.

Load balancing between the DSL line and Ethernet WAN keeps a small office online through line trouble, and the VPN suite — IPSec, PPTP, L2TP, OpenVPN, WireGuard, GRE and SSL VPN — covers site-to-site links and home workers. Frequently asked questions

Will it work on UK fibre-to-the-cabinet lines?

Yes — the built-in modem supports VDSL2 including the 35b profile (up to 350 Mbps) and falls back to ADSL/ADSL2/ADSL2+ where needed. For full-fibre services, use the Ethernet WAN instead.

What are the RJ11 ports for?

Three RJ11 sockets: one DSL line port and two FXS ports for connecting analogue telephones — useful where a phone line still matters.

Which VPN types does it support?

IPSec, PPTP, L2TP, OpenVPN, WireGuard, GRE and SSL VPN — flexible enough for site-to-site tunnels and remote workers on almost any client.

Does it need an Omada controller?

No — it runs standalone, but adopting it into Omada SDN with a controller unifies gateway, switches and APs under one cloud dashboard.
