The ER706W-4G is the Omada gateway for sites that cannot afford to be offline: Wi-Fi 6 wireless, a Gigabit SFP WAN/LAN port, a Gigabit RJ45 WAN, four Gigabit WAN/LAN ports and a built-in Nano-SIM slot for 4G — fixed line, fibre and cellular resilience in one box, driven by a dual-core Cortex-A53 with 512MB of DDR4.

Wi-Fi 6 brings up to 3× the speed, higher capacity and lower latency of Wi-Fi 5 for the office around it, while the VPN suite — SSL, WireGuard, OpenVPN, GRE, IPSec, PPTP, L2TP and L2TP over IPSec — links branches and home workers flexibly. A captive portal handles guest sign-in, and load balancing, bandwidth control and access control round out the feature set behind 4 kV lightning protection. Manage it centrally with an OC200 controller alongside APs like the EAP653; the ER706W is the same gateway without cellular.

Frequently asked questions

How does the 4G connectivity work?

A Nano-SIM sits in the router itself — no dongles — giving the site a cellular WAN that can back up, or load balance with, the wired connections.

ER706W-4G or ER706W?

Identical philosophy; this model adds the built-in SIM slot and 4G antennas. If the site has any history of line outages, the 4G model is cheap insurance.

Which VPN protocols are supported?

SSL, WireGuard, OpenVPN, GRE, IPSec, PPTP, L2TP and L2TP over IPSec — enough flexibility for almost any site-to-site or remote-access design.

Can guests get their own sign-in?

Yes — the captive portal provides guest authentication without exposing the main network.
