The Vigor 167 is a straightforward, dependable VDSL2 modem — the clean way to terminate an FTTC broadband line and hand it to the router or firewall of your choice. It delivers download speeds of up to 300 Mbps and the built-in modem is backward compatible with ADSL2+, so it also covers older circuits.
With one RJ-11 DSL port and two Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports, it is the classic front end for a Vigor Ethernet-WAN router such as the Vigor 2927, or a drop-in replacement for an ISP-supplied modem. Wall-mount screws and plugs are included for a tidy installation by the master socket.

Can it replace my ISP's modem/router?
In most cases, yes — it terminates the VDSL2 line and passes the connection to your own router over Gigabit Ethernet. Tell us your ISP and router and we will confirm the right configuration.
Vigor 167 or Vigor 166 — which do I need?
The 167 is a VDSL2/ADSL2+ modem rated to 300 Mbps downstream, which suits standard FTTC services. If your line is G.fast, or you want headroom to 1.3 Gbps, choose the Vigor 166.
Will it work on an older ADSL line?
Yes — the built-in modem is backward compatible with ADSL2+.
