The VigorSwitch G2282X sits towards the top of DrayTek's G-series switching range — a 1U rack-mount business switch for the network core of an SME or branch office. It ships with 1U rack fittings and an RJ-45 to RS-232 console adapter for direct management, ready to install in the comms cabinet behind a Vigor router.
Like all VigorSwitch hardware it slots into DrayTek's managed ecosystem: routers such as the Vigor 2928 control VigorSwitch devices directly, and VigorACS manages whole estates centrally. Where PoE is needed to feed access points and phones from the same cabinet, its sibling the VigorSwitch P2282X is the one to choose. Full port and feature details are available on request.

No — the G2282X is the non-PoE model. If the same cabinet also needs to power access points, phones or cameras, choose the VigorSwitch P2282X.
Is it rack-mountable?
Yes — it is a 1U unit and the rack fittings ship in the box, together with a UK IEC power cable and console adapter.
Can it be managed centrally?
Yes — compatible Vigor routers include a VigorSwitch controller, and DrayTek's VigorACS platform manages switches, routers and access points across sites.
