Grandstream DP710 VoIP DECT Mobile Phone

The Grandstream DP710 is an accessory DECT handset with a charging cradle, supplied to add a handset to an existing DP715 base station. It reaches up to 300 metres outdoors and around 50 metres indoors, with 10 hours of talk time and 80 hours on standby.

Check your base station before you order this. The DP710 belongs to the older DP715 DECT system. It is not the handset for the current DP750 and DP752 bases — those take the DP720, DP722, DP725, DP730 and DP735. Ordering a DP710 for a DP75x base leaves you with a handset that will not register, and it is the single most common mistake made with this product.

On its own system it does the job well: five handsets share one DP715 base with up to four concurrent calls between them, so a small site gets real cordless coverage without a second base station.

Frequently asked questions

Will it work with my DP750 or DP752 base?

No. The DP710 is the handset for the older DP715 system. A DP750 or DP752 base takes the DP720, DP722, DP725, DP730 or DP735. Check the model number on your base station before ordering.

Can I use it on its own?

No. It is an accessory handset and registers to a base station. Without one it is not a working phone.

How many can I add to one base?

Five handsets per DP715 base, with up to four concurrent calls shared between them.

Is a charger included?

Yes — it is supplied as a handset and charging cradle, so it is ready to use on an existing system.

Should I be replacing the whole system instead?

If the base is failing or you need more than five handsets, quite possibly. The DP750 or DP752 with current handsets gives longer range, more accounts and current firmware support. Ask us and we will compare the cost honestly.

What range will I really get?

The 300 metres is an open-air figure. Indoors, walls, floors and racking reduce it substantially — plan around 50 metres in a building.
