Grandstream GSC3560 Smart Outdoor Audio Intercom
The Grandstream GSC3560 is a hard-wearing outdoor door intercom for sites that need a reliable audio entry point rather than a full video system. It sits on your network over a single PoE+ cable, registers as a SIP endpoint, and rings whichever handsets, control stations or mobile apps you choose to route it to.
The housing is built for the weather and for abuse: IP66 sealing against driving rain and dust, and IK10 impact resistance across the metal face and buttons. Inside, a dual-microphone array picks up speech from as far as six metres and a 10-watt speaker cuts through traffic and wind, while AI-based noise suppression strips out background racket so the person on the other end can actually be understood. Two relay outputs — including an anti-magnetic solid state relay — handle lock release and alarm linkage without a separate controller.
Ideal for
- Gated yards, car parks and delivery entrances
- Industrial units and warehouses with exposed door positions
- Schools, colleges and public buildings needing vandal-resistant entry
- Residential blocks and small developments where video is not required
- Sites replacing analogue door entry with SIP
- Locations where magnetic tampering of the lock relay is a concern
Key features
- IP66 and IK10 rated — sealed against rain and dust, and impact-resistant across the metal surface and buttons
- 10-watt speaker — 90 dB in intercom mode and 100 dB for broadcast, loud enough for noisy outdoor sites
- Dual-microphone array — picks up speech from up to 6 metres away from the panel
- AI noise suppression — filters traffic, wind and machinery so callers are understood first time
- Two relay outputs — lock control and alarm linkage, including an anti-magnetic solid state relay that resists magnet attacks
- Single-cable install — one 10/100 Mbps port with IEEE 802.3at Class 4 PoE+, or local 12–48V DC power
- Multiple unlock methods — open the door from a SIP call, the Grandstream SecureAccess app, or your own system via HTTP API
- Wide operating range — rated from -40°C to 70°C, so it copes with UK winters and unshaded south-facing walls
- Encrypted by default — 256-bit AES, TLS and SRTP protect audio and configuration
- Cloud managed — GDMS and TR-069 provisioning for remote setup and firmware updates

Frequently asked questions
Does the GSC3560 have a camera?
No — the GSC3560 is audio only. If you need to see who is at the door, choose the GSC3565, which shares the same housing and adds a 1080p camera with wide dynamic range and QR code entry.
Can it release a door lock on its own?
Yes. It has two channel outputs for lock control and alarm linkage, so a maglock or strike can be wired directly to the unit without a separate door controller.
What is the anti-magnetic solid state relay for?
Conventional mechanical relays can be triggered by holding a strong magnet against the panel. The solid state relay has no moving contacts, so this common attack does not work on it.
How is it powered and cabled?
A single Cat5e or Cat6 run carrying 802.3at Class 4 PoE+ does both power and data. Where PoE is not available, it accepts local 12–48V DC at up to 24W.
Can staff answer the door from their phones?
Yes. As a SIP device it can ring desk phones, DECT or Wi-Fi handsets and softphones on your PBX, and the Grandstream SecureAccess app allows remote answering and unlocking.
