Grandstream Spare 2000mAh Li-ion Battery for WP822 & WP825

The Grandstream 2000mAh Li-ion battery is the genuine replacement pack for the WP822 and WP825 Wi-Fi cordless handsets. It is a user-swappable pack: the back cover comes off, the old cell lifts out and the new one drops in, so a handset can be back in service in under a minute without a service visit.

Lithium-ion cells lose usable capacity with every charge cycle. On a handset used across a full shift and charged nightly, that shows up after two to three years as a phone that no longer lasts the day. Frequently asked questions

Will this fit a WP820 or WP810?

No. Those handsets use the smaller 1500mAh pack, which we list separately. The 2000mAh pack is for the WP822 and WP825.

How long will a battery last before it needs replacing?

Expect two to three years of daily charging before capacity drops far enough to matter. Heavy shift use and charging in warm plant rooms both shorten that.

How long does the handset run on a full charge?

That depends on the handset, the Wi-Fi signal and how much of the shift is spent on calls — a handset roaming at the edge of coverage works harder than one sitting near an access point. The published talk and standby figures for your model are on its product page.

Can I keep a charged spare and swap it mid-shift?

Yes, and it is the usual approach on two-shift sites. Pair each handset with a second pack and a cradle so there is always one charged and ready.

How should old batteries be disposed of?

Lithium-ion cells must not go in general waste. Use a WEEE battery collection point or your waste contractor's battery stream.
