The Snom D717 is the polished entry point to professional VoIP in the 7-series: a compact desk phone whose high-resolution colour display is unusually good for the price bracket. It sits above the D713, adding Snom's brightness and proximity sensor and a USB port, and below the eight-key D735.
SmartLabel does the key labelling on screen, so speed dials and busy lamp fields stay clearly identified without paper inserts — useful on a phone this compact. Like most of the D-series it ships without a PSU: budget for PoE or add an adapter.

Is the D717 PoE-powered?
Yes — IEEE 802.3af PoE over the network port.
Is there a PSU in the box?
No — "(No PSU)" means none is supplied. On non-PoE networks, add a compatible Snom power supply to the order.
Hosted PBX compatibility?
It is a standard SIP endpoint with provisioning support on the mainstream hosted platforms — we will confirm yours before dispatch.
What does the proximity sensor do in practice?
It wakes the display and surfaces the relevant on-screen options as your hand approaches, and adjusts backlighting to the room — small touches that make daily use quicker.
