Snom
SnomSP800Snom SP800 IP POE desk phone terminal (NO PSU)
The Snom SP800 is an unusual and genuinely useful device: a desk phone terminal with no display and no keypad. It exists for environments where the user interface lives in a soft client or remote desktop session — thin-client offices, call centres on cloud desktops, secure sites — but where laptop speakers and consumer USB audio are not good enough for all-day calls.
Under the skin it carries the features of Snom's D862 desk phone, so voice transmission stays clear and understandable even in demanding scenarios, and the endpoint sits on the network as managed, securable Snom hardware rather than an anonymous USB gadget. PoE-powered; no PSU is included.
Key features
- Headless terminal — no display or keypad; call control comes from your soft client or remote desktop.
- First-class Snom audio — built on the D862 platform for clear, natural speech.
- Designed for cloud and remote-desktop working without compromising security.
- Managed like a phone, not a peripheral — provisioned and secured centrally on the network.
- PoE powered — one Ethernet cable per position.
- Discreet desk footprint — ideal for clean-desk and hot-desk policies.
Works with
Deploy alongside conventional Snom desks like the D862 and D865 for staff who prefer a full phone, and pair it with a quality headset from our headsets range. See All IP phones.
Frequently asked questions
How do I dial if there is no keypad?
You don't dial on the device — dialling and call control happen in your soft client, CTI application or remote desktop session; the SP800 provides the secure SIP audio path.
Does it support PoE, and is a PSU included?
PoE yes — it is designed to be powered over Ethernet. No PSU is included; "NO PSU" in the title is accurate.
Which environments is it right for?
Cloud-desktop and thin-client estates, secure environments where local softphone audio is unacceptable, and any office standardising on soft clients but unwilling to accept poor audio.
Will it work with my platform?
It is a SIP endpoint at heart — tell us how your softclient or remote-desktop estate handles voice and we will confirm the fit before you buy.
