It delivers 5765 Mbps on 6 GHz, 5765 Mbps on 5 GHz and 688 Mbps on 2.4 GHz across eight streams, supports 510+ concurrent clients and covers up to 190 m², while a dedicated RF-scanning radio monitors the spectrum in real time and steers around interference.

A single multi-gigabit port negotiates 10G, 5G, 2.5G or 1G, so the airtime Wi-Fi 7 creates actually reaches the LAN — pair it with a multi-gigabit PoE++ switch such as the Omada SG3210XHP-M2 for power and uplink over one cable. In larger estates, manage it alongside the EAP772 through an Omada OC300 controller.

Frequently asked questions

How should I power it?

Over 802.3bt PoE from a PoE++ switch port, or from a DC supply. A PoE++ switch such as the SG3210XHP-M2 keeps the install to a single cable for power and multi-gigabit data.

Do I need a multi-gigabit switch port?

To get the full benefit, yes — the port negotiates 10G, 5G, 2.5G or 1G. It will run happily on a Gigabit port, but the tri-band radios can carry far more than 1 Gbps, so a 2.5G or 10G PoE port is the right partner.

Does it need an Omada controller?

No — it works standalone. Adopting it into Omada SDN via a hardware controller or cloud adds one-click setup, centralised management, mesh and seamless roaming across every AP on site.
