TP-Link Omada SX3823MPP 32-Port L2+ Managed Switch

The Omada SX3832MPP is the switch for a wireless estate that has outgrown gigabit: twenty-four 1/2.5/5/10 Gbps RJ45 ports, every one of them PoE++ with up to 90 W output, backed by a 770 W total budget and eight 1/10 Gbps SFP+ slots for the uplinks. It powers a whole floor of Wi-Fi 7 access points at full speed — one cable per AP for both data and power.

Deployed with high-density Omada APs such as the EAP787 or EAP773, it slots into an Omada SDN fabric under an OC300 controller, or runs standalone via web, CLI (RJ45 and USB-C console ports), SNMP and RMON. The chassis is durable metal and rack-mountable.

What is the PoE budget?

770 W in total across the 24 PoE++ ports, with up to 90 W available on any single port — enough for the most demanding Wi-Fi 7 access points, PTZ cameras and other high-draw devices.

Why multi-gig PoE ports?

Wi-Fi 7 access points can move well past 1 Gbps of real traffic. Ports that negotiate 1, 2.5, 5 or 10 Gbps mean each AP gets an uplink to match its radio — over the same cable that powers it.

Do I need an Omada controller?

No — standalone management via web, CLI, SNMP and RMON is built in. An Omada controller unifies this switch with your APs and gateway in one dashboard, which pays off at this scale.

How do I connect it to the core?
