TP-Link High Powered 60W Gigabit POE++ Injector

The POE170S is a TP-Link PoE injector — the neat answer when one PoE device needs power but the switch behind it has none to give. It sits in line on the network cable: data comes in from the switch, power is added from the mains, and both travel up a single cable to the access point or camera at the far end.

That makes it the economical choice for adding a single EAP650 access point or one CCTV camera to a network built on non-PoE switches — no rewiring, no electrician, no switch swap. The box includes the injector, a UK IEC-C5 power cable and a network cable. Powering several devices? A PoE switch such as the SG1008P is tidier than multiple injectors.

Injector or PoE switch?

An injector is the economical fix for one or two PoE devices on an existing non-PoE network. Once you are powering several devices, a PoE switch is tidier, cheaper per port and easier to manage.

How is it installed?

In line: patch the switch into the injector's data port, plug the injector into the mains with the included IEC-C5 lead, and run the combined power-and-data cable on to your device.

Will it power my device?

PoE devices vary in the power class they need. Tell us the exact access point or camera model and we will confirm this injector suits it before you order.
