Management follows the Omada pattern: adopt it into Omada SDN for centralised cloud management via the web or app, or run it standalone. Despite the throughput it is fanless — silent enough for an office wall or shelf, with desktop and wall mounting built in.

Frequently asked questions

Why 2.5G ports for access points?

Wi-Fi 6/6E/7 APs can move more than 1 Gbps of wireless traffic; a Gigabit cable becomes the bottleneck. The SG2210XMP-M2's 2.5GBASE-T PoE+ ports power the AP and carry its full throughput on the same cable.

Can all eight ports supply PoE at once?

Yes — the 160 W budget allows up to 30 W on each of the eight ports, so a full complement of APs is no problem.

Do I need an Omada controller?

No — standalone management is supported. A controller adds cloud access, zero-touch multi-site management and one dashboard for the whole Omada estate.

Is it rack-mounted?

No — it is a fanless desktop/wall-mount unit. If you need a rackmount multi-gig PoE switch, look at the SG3210XHP-M2.
