Frequently asked questions

CloudUCM or UCM RemoteConnect — which do I need?

CloudUCM is the phone system, hosted in the cloud — you need no PBX hardware. UCM RemoteConnect is the remote-access service for businesses that already own a UCM6300 appliance.

Is 32 concurrent calls enough for 100 people?

For most offices, comfortably — roughly one call channel per three users is the ordinary ratio. Contact-centre-style workloads are the exception; look at the Business tier if calls are your business.

What about recording storage?

Recordings live in the plan's cloud storage; 4 GB covers routine use. Heavy recording policies can add the 50 GB storage add-on rather than a tier change.
