The CloudUCM Startup plan is the smallest tier of Grandstream's fully hosted cloud PBX: up to 10 extensions and 4 concurrent calls, with 1 GB of cloud storage — a complete phone system with no hardware to buy, install or look after.
CloudUCM is the UCM PBX, run by Grandstream, in the cloud. Extensions, call routing, IVR, voicemail and the Wave apps on desktop, mobile and browser — the same platform as the UCM appliances, minus the appliance. Staff register their phones or just use Wave; the system lives in the cloud and follows them.
Startup is sized for exactly what it says: a new business, a very small office, a first move off mobiles. When it stops fitting, the move up a tier is a plan change — numbers, users and configuration stay put.

Frequently asked questions
CloudUCM or UCM RemoteConnect — which do I need?
CloudUCM is the phone system, hosted in the cloud — you need no PBX hardware. UCM RemoteConnect is different: it is the remote-access service for businesses that own a UCM6300 appliance. If you have no PBX and want one, CloudUCM is the product.
What happens when we outgrow 10 extensions?
Move up a tier — SOHO (20), Plus (50), Pro (100) or Business (200). It is a plan change, not a migration; numbers and configuration stay.
Do we need desk phones?
No — the Wave apps make every laptop and mobile an extension. Desk phones are optional and register directly if you want them.
