Grandstream GAC2570 Enterprise Conference Phone

The Grandstream GAC2570 is a conference phone built around twelve omnidirectional microphones in a multichannel array, with a 5 metre pickup range and a 10 W speaker. It hosts conferences for up to 12 attendees and is driven from a 7-inch 1280×800 IPS touchscreen.

Five metres is the number that decides the room. It comfortably covers a normal meeting room or a huddle space. For a long boardroom table it will not — and rather than pretending otherwise, the GAC2570 pairs with two GMD1208 wireless desktop microphones up to 20 metres away, so the far end of the table gets heard properly. That is the honest way to cover a big room, and it is worth budgeting for at the same time.

Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth and a built-in battery mean it does not need a cable to work. It can be carried into whichever room the meeting ended up in — which, in most offices, is not the room that was booked.

Frequently asked questions

Will it cover my boardroom?

Five metres of pickup covers a normal meeting room well. A long boardroom table needs the GMD1208 wireless microphones — two of them, placed down the table, reaching up to 20 metres. If you are fitting out a large room, cost those in from the start rather than discovering the far end is inaudible in the first meeting.

Does it need a network cable?

No — Wi-Fi 6 and a built-in battery. That is deliberate: meetings move rooms, and a conference phone that only works in one room gets used less than one that can be picked up and carried.

How many people can join a call?

Up to twelve attendees on a conference hosted by the device itself. More than that is usually a job for the phone system or a meeting platform, with this as the room's audio.

Can it join Teams or Zoom meetings?

It is a SIP conference phone with Bluetooth, so how it fits into a particular meeting platform depends on your setup. Tell us what you use and we will be straight with you about what works and what needs a bridge.

Do I need a Grandstream phone system?

No — it is a standards-based SIP device. It is at its best on a Grandstream UCM, where conferencing is already integrated.
