The Grandstream GXV3370 is a 16-line Android video desk phone with a 7-inch 1024 × 600 capacitive touchscreen and a megapixel camera for HD video calling, running on a quad-core 1.3 GHz Cortex-A53 with 2 GB of RAM and 8 GB of storage.

Seven inches is the middle of the GXV range and, for most people, the sensible size. It is large enough that a video window and a dial pad can share the screen without either being cramped, and small enough that the phone still behaves like a phone on the desk rather than a monitor.

Buy it as a video phone, not as an Android tablet. It runs Android 7.0, so app availability is limited and platform updates come from Grandstream rather than Google. Frequently asked questions

Can I run Teams or Zoom on it?

Do not buy it for that. It runs Android 7.0 and is not a certified Teams or Zoom room device. Its video is designed for Grandstream endpoints and the UCM Wave platform.

Does Android 7.0 matter?

Not for the phone functions, which are Grandstream's own and fully supported. It matters if you expected to install modern Android apps — better to know that before ordering.

Which size should I choose?

5-inch on the GXV3350, 7-inch here, 8-inch on the GXV3380. The 7-inch is the usual choice: enough screen for video and dialling without taking over the desk.

Can it see the door camera?

Yes. With a Grandstream GDS door station it shows the caller and opens the door from the screen.

Does it have Wi-Fi?

Yes, integrated 802.11n, so it can go on a desk with no data point. Where a cable exists, PoE over that cable is simpler.

Do I really need 16 lines?

Almost certainly not. It is headroom rather than a selling point — buy this phone for the screen, the camera and the touch interface.
