Grandstream GXV3470 Android IP Video Phone

The Grandstream GXV3470 is a desk phone that behaves like a tablet. A 7-inch 800 × 1280 touchscreen runs Android 14 on a quad-core 2.0GHz processor with 4GB of RAM, so the business applications a team already uses can sit on the phone itself rather than beside it.

As a telephone it carries 16 lines across 16 SIP accounts — enough for a reception position covering several departments, or an executive desk that has to answer for more than one company. The 2-megapixel camera has a physical privacy shutter, which is the detail that decides whether a video phone is accepted in a private office or turned to face the wall.

Connectivity is deliberately generous: two Gigabit ports with PoE/PoE+ so one cable does power, network and a pass-through for the desktop, plus dual-band Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0 for sites where running a second drop is not worth the disruption.

Frequently asked questions

Can it run our own applications?

Yes — it is a full Android 14 device with 4GB of RAM and 16GB of storage, so a CRM, a directory or a room-booking app can run on the phone itself. Tell us what you need to run and we will sanity-check it before you commit to a fleet.

Does the camera close properly?

There is a physical privacy shutter over the 2MP camera. In our experience that is what determines whether a video phone stays pointed at the user rather than being turned away.

Do I need to run a network cable to every desk?

Not necessarily. The GXV3470 has dual-band Wi-Fi 6 built in, so it can join the wireless network where a cable drop would mean lifting a floor. Where a cable is available, PoE is the tidier answer — one lead does power and data.

Can it answer our door entry system?

Yes. Paired with a Grandstream GDS unit it shows the caller and releases the door from the handset, which is the usual reason a reception desk specifies this model over an audio-only phone.

How many numbers can one phone answer?

Sixteen lines across sixteen SIP accounts. That is enough for a reception covering several departments, or a desk answering for more than one trading name.

How is a fleet deployed?

Through GDMS, Grandstream's cloud management. Handsets come up configured from the box, and firmware and settings are pushed centrally rather than desk by desk.
