These are entry-level desk phones, often deployed in quantity, which makes the handset the sensible thing to replace rather than the phone. A cracked handset on a five-year-old GXP1620 is a fifteen pound problem, not a new phone.

Will it fit my phone?

It fits the GXP1620, GXP1625, GXP1628 and GXP1630. Other GXP16XX models and other families take different handsets — send us the model number if you are unsure.

Is it worth replacing the handset on an old phone?

Usually yes. A handset is a fraction of the cost of a phone, and the phone itself rarely fails. If the phone is genuinely at the end of its life, the GRP2602 is the current equivalent.

Should I keep spares?

On a site with a lot of desks, yes. Handsets are the first thing to break and the cheapest thing to have on a shelf.
