The genuine Grandstream power supply for all GXP16XX models and the GRP260x, GRP2612 and GRP2613 desk phones — one adapter covering a large part of the desk phone estate.

There are two reasons to order it. The obvious one is a lost or damaged adapter. The less obvious one is a desk with no PoE: the PoE variants of these phones ship without a mains adapter, so if one ends up at a desk whose switch port supplies no power, this is the part that gets it working.

Use the correct adapter. Voltage and polarity vary across the Grandstream range, and a generic supply of roughly the right size can damage the phone.

Frequently asked questions

My phone is a PoE model — do I need this?

Only if the desk has no PoE. PoE phones ship without an adapter, so a phone moved to a desk on an unpowered switch port will not start until one is fitted. It is a common problem when a phone is relocated or taken home.

Can I use any adapter of the same size?

Better not to. Voltage and polarity differ across the range and the wrong supply can damage the phone.

Does it fit the GRP2614 and above?

Those take a different supply — we stock it separately. This one covers the GXP16XX range, GRP260x, GRP2612 and GRP2613. Send us the model number if you are unsure.

How many spares should I hold?

A couple on a site with many desks. They are cheap, and the usual reason to need one urgently is a phone that has just been moved.
