Grandstream GRP2602 Essential IP Phone

The Grandstream GRP2602 is a two-line essential desk phone — the standard-issue model for offices that want a phone that works, provisions itself and costs very little per desk. Four SIP accounts sit on two dual-colour line keys, alongside four context-sensitive soft keys and eight dedicated function keys: enough for a direct dial, a departmental group, an out-of-hours number and a second provider without paying for a bigger phone.

A backlit graphical LCD, a full-duplex HD speakerphone and 5-way conferencing cover day-to-day calling, while secure boot, encrypted provisioning and GDMS make it manageable across a large estate rather than desk by desk.

Four variants, one phone. The base GRP2602 uses its supplied mains adapter; the GRP2602P adds 802.3af PoE; the GRP2602G adds Gigabit ports with PoE; the GRP2602W adds dual-band Wi-Fi 6. Pick by how the desk is cabled, not by feature.

Frequently asked questions

Which variant should I order?

By cabling, not by feature — the phone is the same. PoE at the desk, take the GRP2602P. PoE and a Gigabit link for the PC behind it, the GRP2602G. No network socket at all, the GRP2602W on Wi-Fi. Otherwise the base model with its adapter.

Four accounts on two line keys — how does that work?

All four register at once, so a call to any of the numbers rings the handset. The two keys are the call appearances you use to answer, switch and watch the active calls. In practice most people use two heavily and keep the others for overflow numbers.

Do I need more than two lines?

Most desks do not. Two call appearances covers a personal DDI and a hunt group. If someone genuinely juggles more, or needs to watch colleagues' lines, look at the GRP2603, the GRP2604 or the GRP261x range instead.

Does the base GRP2602 have Wi-Fi?

No — only the GRP2602W, which has dual-band 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi 6. The others are wired.

Is it compatible with third-party SIP platforms?

Yes. It is a standards-based SIP phone, widely deployed against hosted platforms as well as Grandstream's own UCM range.

Can I manage a lot of these remotely?

Yes — GDMS and TR-069, with encrypted provisioning and secure boot. That is what makes the GRP range workable at estate scale.
