Grandstream GRP2602G Gigabit IP Phone

The Grandstream GRP2602G is the GRP2602 with Gigabit ports and PoE — the variant for desks where a computer sits behind the phone. Voice itself never needs more than 10/100; the Gigabit is there so the PC sharing that network drop is not throttled to a tenth of its link speed.

Everything else is the essential two-line desk phone: four SIP accounts on two dual-colour line keys, four context-sensitive soft keys, a backlit graphical LCD, a full-duplex HD speakerphone and 5-way conferencing. Secure boot, encrypted provisioning and GDMS keep a large estate manageable.

PoE means no adapter. One cable per desk, nothing under the desk to be kicked out.

Frequently asked questions

Do I actually need Gigabit on a phone?

The phone does not — a call uses a fraction of a megabit. The PC plugged into the back of it does. If nothing sits behind the phone, the GRP2602P saves money for no loss.

Does it come with a power supply?

No — it is powered over Ethernet. If your switch does not supply PoE, add an injector or order the base GRP2602 with its adapter.

Four accounts on two line keys — how does that work?

All four register at once, so a call to any of the numbers rings the handset. The two keys are the call appearances you use to answer, switch and watch the active calls.

Do I need more than two lines?

Most desks do not. If someone genuinely juggles more calls at once, or needs to watch colleagues' lines, look at the GRP2603, the GRP2604 or the GRP261x range instead.

Is it compatible with third-party SIP platforms?

Yes. It is a standards-based SIP phone, widely deployed against hosted platforms as well as Grandstream's own UCM range.
