TP-Link EAP100 Bridging Kit

The EAP100 Bridging Kit is the entry point to TP-Link's Omada SmartBridging range: a preconfigured pair of 2.4 GHz wireless bridges that carries up to 300 Mbps over distances of up to 500 m. It is the economical way to get a garage, gatehouse, workshop or CCTV camera onto the network without digging a cable run — simply power the units on and they auto-pair out of the box.

Each end offers three Fast Ethernet ports, so cameras and devices connect at the far side without an extra switch, and the visual app-guided alignment plus instant speed testing take the guesswork out of installation. Need more speed or distance? Step up to the EAP211 kit (867 Mbps, 1 km) or the EAP215 kit (5 km). A compact PoE switch such as the SF1005P powers cameras at the remote end.

Frequently asked questions

Is any configuration needed?

No — the kit is preconfigured for instant auto-pairing. Power both units on and the link establishes itself; the app then guides antenna alignment and verifies speed.

How is it powered?

Three ways: 802.3af PoE, 24V passive PoE or 12V DC — and it is compatible with TP-Link solar power supply systems for installs with no mains nearby.

Is 300 Mbps enough for CCTV?

For typical IP camera streams, comfortably — the 2.4 GHz link carries multiple cameras' traffic. If you are backhauling many high-resolution cameras or general LAN traffic, consider the gigabit-ported EAP211 or EAP215 kits instead.

Can I manage it remotely?

Yes — run it standalone via the Omada app or local web UI, or adopt it into Omada SDN for remote centralised management.
