Yealink T31W SIP Business Phone (No PSU)

The T31W solves the desk-with-no-network-point problem. It is the same dependable entry-level phone as the T31P and T31G — two SIP accounts, 132×64 backlit LCD, five-way local conferencing, HD voice — but with dual-band 2.4G/5G Wi-Fi built in, so it can sit anywhere with power and a wireless signal.

It still has Ethernet ports and built-in PoE, so you can cable it where drops exist and go wireless where they do not, keeping one model across the estate. An adjustable multi-angle stand covers counters, desks and reception positions.

One planning note: PoE obviously needs a network cable, so a Wi-Fi-only desk will need the optional mains PSU — this variant does not include one in the box.

How do I power it on a Wi-Fi-only desk?

With the optional Yealink PSU — this variant ships without a power supply. PoE only works where you have a network cable, so budget a PSU for every purely wireless position.

Does it need a Wi-Fi dongle?

No — Wi-Fi is built in, dual-band 2.4G/5G. No USB dongle to buy or lose.

Is it compatible with hosted PBX services?

Yes — it is a standard SIP phone and works with the mainstream hosted platforms. We can confirm auto-provisioning support for your provider before you order.

Wi-Fi or cable — which should I use?

Cable where you can: it is one less thing to troubleshoot and enables PoE. Use the Wi-Fi where cabling is impractical — that flexibility is exactly what this model is for.
