Grandstream DP725 DECT Cordless HD Phone

The Grandstream DP725 is the compact 400-metre handset of the DP7xx DECT family. It gives you the long range of a DP730 in a smaller body with a 1.8-inch colour display and two programmable soft keys — the sensible pick when people need to cover ground but do not need a directory-sized screen in the hand.

Each handset supports up to ten SIP accounts and two concurrent calls, so one person can hold a call and take a second without a second device. A 3.5mm headset jack, a speakerphone and push-to-talk cover the usual working patterns, and full HD audio keeps speech clear.

It needs a base station. A DP725 on its own is not a working phone — it registers to a DP750 or DP752, and up to five handsets share one base. If you are starting a system from scratch, order both.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use it without a base station?

No. The handset registers to a DP750 or DP752. If this is a first cordless phone, make sure a base is on the order too — it is the most common thing missed.

How is it different from the DP730?

The screen and the size. Both reach 400 metres and both carry ten SIP accounts with two concurrent calls. The DP730 has a 2.4-inch display with three soft keys; the DP725 has a 1.8-inch display with two, in a smaller body.

How is it different from the DP722?

Range. The DP725 reaches 400 metres, the DP722 reaches 350. On a shop floor you will never notice; across a yard you will.

How many handsets can share one base?

Five, with ten SIP accounts between them. A sixth handset means a second base station.

Is it suitable for outdoor or wet work?

It has no ingress protection rating. For weather, dust or wash-down at the same 400 metres, use the DP735.

Can I mix it with other DP7xx handsets?

Yes. One base carries any mix of DP720, DP722, DP725, DP730 and DP735 handsets, up to five in total.
