The Grandstream GRP2611G is the three-line professional desk phone with Gigabit ports. Three lines and three SIP accounts sits neatly between the two-line entry model and the four-line workhorse — a personal number, a department and an out-of-hours or overflow line, without paying for a fourth nobody uses.

The G is about the cable, not the calls. Voice never needs more than 10/100; Gigabit matters because the PC behind the phone shares that drop, and a 10/100 phone would throttle it to a tenth of its link speed.

Zero-touch provisioning through GDMS, secure boot and encrypted configuration make it deployable in quantity.

Frequently asked questions

Do I actually need Gigabit on a phone?

The phone does not — a call uses a fraction of a megabit. The PC plugged into the back of it does. If nothing sits behind the phone, a 10/100 model saves money for no loss.

Three lines or four?

Count the numbers someone genuinely handles at once. Three covers a personal DDI, a department and an overflow; four is for people juggling providers or platforms as well. Buying the larger one "just in case" mostly buys an unused key.

Can the accounts be on different providers?

Yes. The SIP accounts register independently, so a phone can sit on the office PBX and a second platform at the same time.

Can I watch colleagues' lines from it?

Only just. Three keys leaves little room for busy lamp field; a receptionist watching a whole office wants a GRP2615 or an extension module.

Does it work with hosted providers?

Yes. It is a standards-based SIP phone, widely deployed against hosted platforms as well as Grandstream's own UCM range.
