Grandstream GRP2612G Gigabit IP Phone

The Grandstream GRP2612G is the four-line professional desk phone with Gigabit ports and PoE. Four line keys and four SIP accounts is the point at which a phone stops being a single-number handset and starts being a working tool — a personal DDI, a department, an out-of-hours number and a second provider, all visible at once.

The G is about the cable, not the calls. Voice never needs more than 10/100; the Gigabit matters because the PC behind the phone shares that drop, and a 10/100 phone would throttle it. If a computer sits behind the handset, this is the variant to buy.

Zero-touch provisioning through GDMS, secure boot and encrypted configuration make it deployable in quantity rather than desk by desk.

Frequently asked questions

Do I actually need Gigabit on a phone?

The phone does not — a call uses a fraction of a megabit. The PC plugged into the back of it does. If nothing sits behind the phone, the 10/100 GRP2612P saves money for no loss.

Four lines — can they be different providers?

Yes. The four SIP accounts register independently, so a phone can sit on the office PBX and a second platform at the same time.

Can I watch colleagues' lines from it?

To a limited extent. Four keys is workable for a small team; a receptionist watching a whole office wants a GRP2615 or an extension module.

Does it work with hosted providers?

Yes. It is a standards-based SIP phone, widely deployed against hosted platforms as well as Grandstream's own UCM range.

Can I roll out a lot of these at once?

Yes — GDMS zero-touch provisioning. Phones come up configured when they are plugged in.
