Grandstream GSC3610 Weather-Proof Infrared Fixed Dome IP Camera

The Grandstream GSC3610 is a ceiling-mounted fixed dome IP camera: 1080p video over H.264 or H.265, a 3.6 mm lens, smart infrared for night work, and an IP67 weatherproof housing — with one ability ordinary CCTV cameras do not have.

It is also a SIP endpoint. The camera can stream its video and audio into a call — to a GXV video phone, a GSC3570 control station or the Wave app — like an intercom that happens to be a camera. When motion trips it, it does not just write a file to a recorder; it can ring someone and show them what it sees. With an external microphone and speaker wired to its interfaces, that becomes two-way.

For conventional recording it behaves like any good camera: ONVIF compliant, PoE powered, managed by GSURF Pro or any ONVIF video platform.

Frequently asked questions

What does SIP on a camera actually do?

It makes the camera a call participant. It can ring a phone or control station when triggered and stream what it sees into that call — intercom behaviour, without a button. Ordinary CCTV cameras only feed recorders.

Is the audio two-way out of the box?

The camera has interfaces for an external microphone and speaker — wire those and you have two-way audio. Without them it is a camera with SIP video calling.

Dome or bullet — which do I want?

Dome (this one) for ceilings and soffits, and where you would rather the direction of view was not obvious. Bullet (GSC3615) for walls, and where a visible deterrent pointing at the gate is the point.

Will it record to my existing NVR?

If the recorder is ONVIF compliant, generally yes. Tell us what you record to and we will confirm.

H.264 or H.265?

Use H.265 if your recorder supports it — roughly half the storage for the same quality. Fall back to H.264 for older platforms.
