Frequently asked questions

Will it work with my softphone?

Yes — it presents as a standard USB audio device, so Wave, Teams, Zoom, browser-based calling and desktop SIP clients all use it without drivers.

Does it plug into a desk phone?

Only phones with a USB headset port. Desk phones with an RJ9 headset socket need an RJ9 headset instead — tell us your phone model and we will point at the right one.

What is the difference from the GUV3005?

The busy light. The GUV3005 adds a light that shows colleagues you are on a call before they start talking to you; otherwise the two are the same headset. In an open-plan office that light earns its money.

Wired or Bluetooth?

Wired if you sit at the desk and want zero maintenance; the GUV3050 if you walk while you talk. A battery you never think about is the honest advantage of the cable.
