The TP-Link SF1006P (TL-SF1006P) is a six-port 10/100 Mbps unmanaged switch with four PoE ports — an economical way to power a few IP cameras, access points or IP phones without touching a configuration page. It automatically detects and supplies power to any IEEE 802.3af/at compliant powered device.

Because power and data run through one cable, devices can be fixed wherever coverage or camera angles demand, even where there are no power lines or outlets. Fast Ethernet is ample for camera streams and voice; if the same ports also carry desktop traffic, the Gigabit SG1005LP is the better pick.

Frequently asked questions

Is 10/100 Mbps fast enough?

For IP cameras, phones and most access-point backhaul at small sites, yes. If you are moving large files between PCs or servers over the same switch, choose a Gigabit model instead.

Which devices can it power?

All IEEE 802.3af/at compliant powered devices — typically APs, IP cameras and IP phones. It detects them automatically; non-PoE devices connect safely for data only.

Does it need configuring?

No. It is an unmanaged switch: plug it in and it simply works.
