Grandstream GRP2612 Carrier-Grade IP Phone (PSU Included, Non-PoE)
In stock
The Grandstream GRP2612 is a two-line carrier-grade desk phone built for volume deployment. It is the version supplied with its own power supply and without PoE — which makes it the right choice wherever the switch in the cabinet does not provide power, and the wrong one wherever it does.
That distinction is the only meaningful difference between this and the GRP2612P. Same handset, same features, same management. If your desks are fed from a PoE switch, the P model saves you a plugtop and a socket at every position; if they are not, this model saves you an injector at every position.
Beyond power, the GRP2612 is designed to be deployed rather than configured. Zero-touch provisioning brings handsets online from the box, GDMS manages them centrally afterwards, and 16 virtual multi-purpose keys cover the line, BLF and speed-dial layout most offices need.
Ideal for
- Desks fed from a non-PoE switch, where a plugtop is unavoidable
- Service providers and resellers deploying handsets at volume
- Offices standardising on one desk phone across the floor
- Home and remote workers with no managed switch
- Replacing ageing GXP16XX handsets on a like-for-like basis
- Sites managed remotely through GDMS rather than visited
Key features
- Power supply included — no PoE switch or injector required
- 2 SIP accounts, 2 lines — a personal extension and a shared or group number on one handset
- 4 multi-purpose line keys, 16 virtual keys — lines, BLF and speed dials across three pages
- HD audio with wideband codecs — G.722 and OPUS alongside the narrowband codecs
- Dual 10/100 Mbps ports — daisy-chain a PC through the phone, one cable to the desk
- Zero-touch provisioning — handsets come up configured without an engineer at the desk
- GDMS cloud management — configure, monitor and update fleets remotely
- Carrier-grade security — secure boot, dual firmware images and encrypted configuration storage
- Swappable face plates — logo customisation for service providers
Works with
- Grandstream GRP2612P — the PoE version, no plugtop needed
- Grandstream GRP2612W — adds built-in Wi-Fi
- Grandstream GRP2612G — Gigabit ports for desks that need the throughput
- Grandstream UCM IP PBX range — register the handset to an on-site or cloud PBX
- Grandstream PoE switches — fit one and the P model becomes the cheaper option
- Grandstream headsets
- All Grandstream IP phones
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between the GRP2612 and the GRP2612P?
Power, and nothing else that matters. This model ships with a mains power supply and does not take PoE. The P model takes power from a PoE switch and does not ship with a plugtop. Choose by what is in your comms cabinet.
Can I add PoE to this one later?
No — PoE is a hardware difference, not a setting. If the site is moving to PoE switching, order the P model for new desks and keep these where they are.
Do I need a socket at every desk?
Yes, one per phone. If that is a problem across a floor, a PoE switch plus GRP2612P handsets usually works out cheaper than the electrician.
How many keys can I program?
Four physical multi-purpose keys, extended to 16 virtual keys across pages — enough for lines, a handful of BLF keys watching colleagues, and speed dials.
Will it work with my hosted phone system?
Yes. It registers to any standards-based SIP platform. If your provider publishes a provisioning template, the handsets can be shipped straight to site and come up configured.
Can it be deployed without visiting each desk?
That is what it is built for. Zero-touch provisioning brings a handset online from the box, and GDMS handles configuration and firmware afterwards.
