DISPLAY4.3" colour

The Grandstream GRP2636 is a twelve-line professional IP phone for the busiest positions in an organisation. Twelve line keys and sixteen SIP accounts sit beneath a 4.3-inch colour display, with twenty-four dedicated MPK extension keys and a paper slot down the side for labelling.

What makes it unusually easy to deploy is how little power it needs for its size — 4.3W over PoE, roughly half what the eight-line GRP2624 and GRP2634 draw. Combined with dual-band Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth, USB headset support and dual microphones with noise shield, it gives reception desks, coordinators and heavy call handlers a large, legible console without pushing a PoE switch to its limits.

Ideal for

  • Reception and switchboard positions in medium and large sites
  • Service coordinators and dispatchers with many extensions to monitor
  • Executive assistants covering multiple managers
  • Busy contact centres needing a large physical key layout
  • Sites with tight PoE budgets that still need a large-format phone
  • Open-plan offices where speakerphone noise rejection matters

Key features

  • Twelve line keys with 16 SIP accounts — genuine console-level line capacity
  • Twenty-four MPK extension keys with paper slot — physical BLF and speed-dial positions you can label clearly
  • 4.3-inch 480 × 272 colour TFT — large, legible display for a busy desk
  • Low 4.3W PoE draw — much lighter on a PoE budget than most twelve-line phones
  • Dual microphones with noise shield — suppress open-plan background noise on speakerphone
  • Integrated dual-band Wi-Fi 6 — 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax on both bands
  • Integrated Bluetooth — wireless headsets and mobile contact sync
  • USB and RJ9 EHS headset support — suits any common headset type
  • 5-way conferencing — set up multi-party calls without the PBX bridge
  • Secure boot with encrypted data storage — carrier-grade protection as standard

Frequently asked questions

How many extensions can I monitor on the GRP2636?

Twenty-four dedicated MPK keys with a paper slot for labelling, alongside twelve line keys, so a single phone covers a substantial team.

Why is the power draw so much lower than the GRP2624?

Different hardware design. The GRP2636 draws a maximum of 4.3W over PoE compared with 10.8W for the GRP2624, which matters when you are populating every port on a switch.

Does it have a second labelling screen?

No. The GRP2636 uses a paper slot for its MPK labels. If you want digital labelling, look at the GRP2616 or GRP2650.

Can it connect over Wi-Fi?

Yes, dual-band Wi-Fi 6 is integrated, so only power is required if no data point is available.

Is noise shield useful in a call centre?

It is one of the more noticeable features in open-plan rooms. The dual microphones suppress background conversation so the far end hears the speaker rather than the office.
