Grandstream GWN7703 24-Port Gigabit Unmanaged Switch

The Grandstream GWN7703 is a twenty-four-port Gigabit unmanaged switch in a metal enclosure, with 48 Gbps of switching capacity and support for 10 KB jumbo frames. There is nothing to log into and nothing to configure.

It is the honest answer for a floor of computers and printers. Twenty-four ports of plain Gigabit, no PoE stage generating heat, no management interface that nobody will open, and a price that reflects all of that. If the phones and access points on the site are fed from a separate PoE switch, this handles everything else.

Jumbo frame support is worth knowing about. If a NAS, a backup server or video editing traffic crosses this switch, 10 KB frames cut the per-packet overhead noticeably — and it is unusual to find at this end of the range.

Frequently asked questions

Does it supply PoE?

No. Devices plugged into it need their own power. For PoE at this size, use a managed PoE switch or feed the powered devices from a separate PoE unit.

Can I create VLANs?

No. It is unmanaged — no web interface, no configuration. The GWN7711 range is the managed equivalent.

What are jumbo frames for?

They let a device send much larger packets, which reduces overhead on sustained transfers. It matters for NAS, backup and video traffic; for ordinary office use it makes no difference.

Is 48 Gbps enough for 24 ports?

Yes. Twenty-four Gigabit ports running flat out in both directions is 48 Gbps, so the switch is non-blocking — no port is starved by another.

Can it be rack mounted?

It is supplied for desktop or wall mounting. If it must live in a rack, check the mounting hardware with us before ordering.

Should I buy managed instead?

Only if you have a reason: a guest network to separate, traffic to prioritise, or a port you need statistics from. Otherwise a managed switch is cost and a login nobody remembers.
