The Netgear GS116LP is a 16-port Gigabit unmanaged switch with PoE on all sixteen ports, so one box carries both data and power for access points, IP cameras and desk phones. Because it is unmanaged, deployment is genuinely plug and play: patch in a PoE device and it powers up over the same cable.

That makes it a tidy backbone for a small office, surgery or retail site — cable each ceiling access point, such as the TP-Link EAP225 or Omada EAP610, straight back to the switch with a single run. If your PoE load is heavier, the GS116PP is the higher-power sibling; if you need no PoE at all, the plain GS116 costs less.

Do all sixteen ports supply PoE?

Yes — the GS116LP provides PoE on all 16 Gigabit ports, so you do not have to plan around a subset of powered ports.

Is any configuration required?

No. It is an unmanaged switch: there are no VLANs, no web interface and nothing to set up. Connect your devices and they receive data and power immediately. A PC utility is supplied on the resource CD for basic housekeeping.

Can it be rack-mounted?

Yes. The box includes both wall-mount and rack-mount hardware, and it also works free-standing on a desk or shelf, so it suits comms cabinets and cupboards alike.

GS116LP or GS116PP — which should I pick?
