Netgear GS316P FlexPoE 16-Port Unmanaged Desktop Gigabit PoE+ Switch (115W)

The Netgear GS316P is a 16-port PoE switch built for straightforward installs: cameras, access points and IP phones plug in, power up and start passing traffic with no configuration at all. A 130W power adapter ships in the box, so it arrives ready to feed a realistic mix of PoE endpoints out of the carton.

With its included wall-mount kit it fixes neatly to a backboard in a cupboard or above a CCTV recorder — a natural hub for a small site's worth of devices such as the TP-Link Omada EAP610 ceiling access point. If you want the same idea in a smaller footprint, see the 8-port GS108LP; for on-switch management, look at the GS110TP smart switch.

Key features

• 16 PoE ports — one cable per device for power and data across cameras, APs and phones.

• Zero configuration — plug-and-play operation keeps installation and support simple.
• Wall-mount kit in the box — mounts flat to a wall or backboard where cabinet space is tight.
• Clean single-box install — removes plug-top power supplies from ceilings and camera runs.

Frequently asked questions

Does it need any setup?

No — the GS316P is plug and play. Patch in your PoE devices and they receive power and data immediately; there is nothing to configure and no software to maintain.

Is the power supply included?

Yes. A 130W power adapter ships in the box together with the wall-mount kit and installation guide, so no extras are needed to get running.

What can it power?

Standards-based PoE devices such as IP cameras, wireless access points and IP desk phones. If you are planning a larger or higher-draw device mix, send us the list and we will sanity-check the load against the supplied adapter before you order.

Desk, wall or rack?

It is a compact wall-mountable unit — the wall-mount kit is included — and it also sits happily on a shelf. For a 19-inch rack deployment, consider the rack-format GS728TP or GS752TP instead.
