CLOUD UCM - 50GB

This is a subscription add-on, not a physical product. It adds 50 GB of cloud storage to a CloudUCM subscription.

The base allowances are small, and that is deliberate. CloudUCM plans include between 1 GB and 10 GB depending on tier — Startup and SOHO get 1 GB, Plus 2 GB, Pro 4 GB, Business 10 GB. That is ample for voicemail and configuration backups and nowhere near enough once call recording is switched on.

Fifty gigabytes is several times the largest base allowance, which is why this add-on exists. If you record calls for training, compliance or dispute resolution, budget for it at the same time as the plan rather than discovering the limit later.

Frequently asked questions

How much recording does 50 GB hold?

It depends on the codec and how much you record, so we will not quote an hours figure we cannot stand behind. What is certain is that it is several times the largest base allowance, and that recording is what fills storage.

Do I need it if I do not record calls?

Probably not. Voicemail and configuration backups use very little of the base allowance.

Which plans can use it?

Any CloudUCM plan. The smaller tiers benefit most, since Startup and SOHO include only 1 GB.

Is this a physical item?

No. It is a subscription add-on applied against your existing CloudUCM plan. Nothing is shipped.

Is this the same as the RemoteConnect storage add-on?

No — they are different products for different services. This one is for CloudUCM, the hosted PBX. The other is for UCM RemoteConnect, the service for a UCM you own. Make sure you are buying against the right one.

What happens when storage fills up?

New recordings stop being retained, which is normally discovered at the worst possible moment. If recordings matter for compliance, buy the headroom before you need it.
