Grandstream GWN7700 5-Port Gigabit Unmanaged Switch

The Grandstream GWN7700 is a 5-port Gigabit unmanaged switch — the simplest thing in the range. One socket becomes five. Plug it in and it works; there is no configuration and no web interface.

It does not supply PoE. Everything plugged into it needs its own power. For phones, cameras or access points that expect power from the cable, take the GWN7700P.

At this price it is worth keeping one spare on a shelf — the fault it fixes is always discovered at an inconvenient moment.

Frequently asked questions

Does it supply PoE?

No. Anything plugged into it needs its own power supply. For phones, cameras or access points, choose the GWN7700P.

Unmanaged — what am I giving up?

VLANs, QoS and any visibility into what the switch is doing. On a five-port switch behind a desk that rarely matters; on a site network it does.

Do I need to configure it?

No. There is nothing to configure and no web interface.

Is 5 ports enough?

Four devices plus the uplink. If you need a fifth device, the 8-port GWN7701 costs very little more — chaining small switches together is how networks become hard to diagnose.
