Grandstream UCM RemoteConnect 50 GB Storage Add-On

This is a subscription add-on, not a physical product. It adds 50 GB of cloud storage to any UCM RemoteConnect plan.

Buy it if you record calls. The storage included with the RemoteConnect plans is modest — between 1 GB and 10 GB depending on tier — which is fine for configuration backups and voicemail but disappears quickly once call recording is switched on. Recorded audio accumulates faster than almost anyone expects, and a full storage quota means recordings stop being kept.

Fifty gigabytes is a meaningful step up from any of the base allowances, and it applies to every plan rather than only the larger ones.

Frequently asked questions

How much recording does 50 GB hold?

It depends entirely on the codec and how much you record, so we will not quote an hours figure we cannot stand behind. What is safe to say is that 50 GB is many times the 1–10 GB included in the base plans, and that recording is what fills storage.

Do I need it if I do not record calls?

Probably not. Configuration backups and voicemail use very little. Storage becomes a problem when recording is switched on.

Which plans can use it?

All of them, from SOHO to Enterprise — unlike the Cloud IM add-on, which is restricted to Pro and Business.

Is this a physical item?

No. It is a subscription add-on applied against your existing RemoteConnect plan through GDMS. Nothing is shipped.

What happens when storage fills up?

New recordings stop being retained — which is usually discovered at exactly the wrong moment. If recordings matter for compliance, buy the headroom before you need it.
