Grandstream UCM RemoteConnect Admin Module

This is a subscription add-on, not a physical product. It adds the advanced remote administration module to UCM RemoteConnect.

The module is aimed at whoever looks after the phone system rather than at the people using it. It extends what can be done to a UCM from the cloud through GDMS — the administrative depth that turns "I can see the PBX remotely" into "I can actually fix it remotely", which for a reseller or an IT team covering several sites is the difference between a phone call and a van journey.

If you manage one UCM in the room next door, you probably do not need this. It earns its money where the PBX is at another site, or where several customers' systems are looked after by one team.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need this to manage my UCM remotely at all?

No — the RemoteConnect plans already provide remote access and management through GDMS. This module adds administrative depth on top of that.

Who is it actually for?

Whoever fixes the phone system. If that person is in the building, the base plan is usually enough. If they are an hour away or looking after several sites, this is what makes remote work practical.

Is this a physical item?

No. It is a subscription add-on applied against an existing UCM RemoteConnect plan. Nothing is shipped.

Which plan do I need first?

You need an active RemoteConnect plan before this can be added. Tell us which one you are on and we will confirm compatibility.

Can I trial it before committing?

Ask us — we will find out what is possible for your account rather than guess here.

Is it the same as CloudUCM?

No. CloudUCM is the PBX itself hosted in the cloud. RemoteConnect and this module are services for a UCM you own and run on site.
